Over the next few weeks, we'll be experiencing an Instinct first. This time is Instinct's first "Summer" period. In previous clans, I've seen this "Summer" period to be one of skyrocketting activity, both in-game and on the forums, and these next months are generally some of the best times in a clan's lifetime. This is what I wish for Instinct. So, to head us into this new summer, over the next few weeks, I am going to focus specifically on the solid FORUM base for a clan. When we can't turn solely to the in-game activity of a clan, be the reason "Smart Updates" or time-constraints, we can spend a few moments, here, on the forums. It is my job as an Instinct Administrator to make sure that you, the Member of Instinct, have a safe, friendly, etc etc etc. place to come to share your ideas, thoughts, funny stories/videos/pictures, and even the more serious stuff; your fears, and your dreams. That's what Instinct means to me anyway; an extended family, where the kind of stuff that I just listed is just as important, if not more so than the 12 you hit on the KBD yesterday, or the Bandos' Godsword Hilt that you received as a drop. These are the things that separate us, Instinct, from those giant clans, from the Bounty Hunter teams that just piled us into submission on some random day. *Hypothetical situation* If I turn out to live to 150 years old (and I retain my sanity/memories... that sort of stuff) am I going to remember how many blue charms I collected when I was 17? Am I going to remember what the Blue Partyhat, or an Armadyl Godsword was worth those 133 years ago? No I am not. You know what I am going to remember? I'm going to remember posting one day, on the Instinct forums, about my irrational fear of birds, and having Nuvonic tell me that he too has an irrational fear of birds. I'm going to remember the bonds that we created, here on these forums. I'm going to remember the stuff that we're going to create over this summer. While it is my job as Strabo9, your proud Leader, to provide such a location for which to create those bonds; I cannot create your bonds for you. So, I'm giving you all a job this summer. I'm sorry, I can't pay you all in actual currency for doing this job, but trust me : I think that the 150 year old you will thank me. I'm hiring you all, Members of Instinct, to create a memory, on these forums this summer. Give that 150 year old version of yourself, way-way-way in the future, something to remember, and to cherish from your time here. |

I do have quite the irrational fear of birds. Do you honestly believe we would let a summer go by without creating memories? People STILL won't let go of the pen in the bellybutton from last summer...

loll another amusing topic well this is quite helpfull in some way..but the question is what happens if ignorant members in instinct refuse to accept the offer? |

very realizing sort of words kinda left me stunned on this because i cant come up with anything better to say than realizing sadly and these words also speak to me so i will create a memory even though that is enable for everyone really because something random will happen that you,me, and all of instinct will never forget. |
