Introduction If you've ever played the boardgame "Risk" then you'll be very familiar with this event. Basically, we split the whole of RuneScape into various Kingdoms, which are in turn split into ten different territories. Starting out, each team will control one whole Kingdom and all of its territories, no more and no less. As the game progresses, a team may lose or gain territories and lose or gain players (independent of each other - players and territories are NOT tied to each other). Once a team loses all of its original territories, it is out of the game. Obviously, the team that captures all of the Kingdoms wins. See below for more information about all aspects of the game. If there are any conflicts that arrive during the course of the game, all matters will be overseen by the RuneScape Risk Judge who will be appointed before the game starts. Kingdoms and Territories As stated above, RuneScape will be divided into various Kingdoms, each of which will be further divided into ten territories. For this first round, we will be using only the F2P world (including the Wilderness) into three Kingdoms: the Kingdom of Misthalin, the Kingdom of Asgarnia, and the Kingdom of the Wilderness. To see exactly how the Territories are divided and who currently holds which one, look at the "Round I" section (on the second post). During the course of the game, teams will gain and lose territory through various competitions (see Challenges and Wagering for more detail). A team will not be knocked out of the game until their Capital Territory is captured (marked on the map). The team that captures the Capital Territory knocks that team out but does not get their remaining players. However, a Capital Territory cannot be wagered until last (to prevent early finishes). Teams and Players Obviously, no game can be played without players. Runescape Risk is a team oriented game. For this first round, we'll have three teams with an equal number of people on each. Each team will start with a Team Captain, who will then pick the members of their team in a dodgeball-like fashion. Once picked for a team, the new members will be invited to the corresponding "Joinable Group" on the forum, which allows them to view their Team's own forum for discussion, strategy, and the like. All players on a team (except the Captain) can be wagered, much like territories (see Challenges and Wagering for more information). If lost, the player(s) will then join the opposing team as a full-fledged member and continue to help their new team dominate. However, if a team is completely knocked out of the game (by losing their territories) all of the team's remaining members are out of the game and can not be transferred to another team in any other way. In other words: if another team has members that you want, snatch them up before destroying the team or you won't get the member. Challenges and Wagering The whole meat and potatoes of Runescape Risk is the Challenges. They can range anything from a full out Team war, to a 1vs1 Death Match, to a Hide and Seek game, to a Stealing Creation competition, to virtually anything either team can come up with. However, the Challenges aren't just for fun, because each team must wager either territories and/or players for every Challenge. The wager doesn't have to be equal, and one team could even wager territory while the other wagers a player, but EACH team MUST agree to BOTH sides of the wager, as well as to the Challenge. In order to keep the game moving, each team must participate in at least one Challenge against each team every 2 weeks for a minimum of 2 Challenges in a 2 week period or they will lose one territory or one player (to be given to the team with the least amount of territories or players). Winning the Game Finally, the portion of the game you've all been waiting for: how to win! It's very simple, control ALL the territory. Once one team accomplishes this, the game is over and that team wins. Edited by Ryurian, Tuesday Jun 9 2009, 12:20 AM.

Round I![]() Note: I saved the .pdf of this map so it'll be really easy for me to go in and change the color of different territories as the game progresses. If you'd like a bigger version, click on the map itself. It still isn't 100% full size (no place would upload it 100%) but it's good enough. Oh and the "Capital Territory" of each Kingdom has a star next to it's label. If you can't find them, they're the Varrock Palace, Falador, and Dark Knight Fortress territories.
